Mary Lyle Ayers, age 92, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Tennova Residential Hospice – Halls. Family and friends were with her. She was a member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by parents, Rev. James D. and Jessie T. Lyle; son, Thomas W. Byrd. She is survived by husband of 53 years, Delmus H. Ayers; son, Jim Byrd; granddaughter, Sherri Byrd; great granddaughter, Lindsay (Iain) Christie; great grandson, Justin Elder; great great grandchildren, Hendry, Larkin and Ivy Christie; special nieces, Dorothy (Terry) Brown; Phyllis (Virgil) Carr and several other nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1 – 3 pm Monday with the funeral to follow with Rev.
