Mark Duane Parrott, age 60, a native of Knoxville, Tennessee who resided in Hendersonville, Tennessee for many years, crossed over to join his Creator, family and ancestors on the 15th day of December 2019. While still attending college Mark was selected from a nationwide search to become a manager of a large Orthodontic Laboratory. His career in Orthodontics spanned over 25 years. Mark wrote a book and it was published covering Orthodontic and Orthopedic procedures. He was recipient of several awards including a CDT in Orthodontics. Mark loved nature and enjoyed fishing, boating, swimming and tennis. He received his senior lifeguard certificate from the YMCA and a blue ribbon for the best in gymnastics. Always in good health, Mark sadly lost his battle with an aggressive cancer in only a short unexpected time. His heartbroken mother was by his side. He was preceded in death by his loving grandmother, Viola and his dad, Eugene. Mark was survived by his caregiver, devoted and loving mother, Martha Evelyn; his loving son, Christopher Mark and several close family members and friends. Mark was extremely proud of his son, Christopher Mark, who had just graduated from medical school. Family and friends will meet at 3:00PM on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 for a graveside service at Woodlawn Cemetery.
