Our beloved mother, Margaret Smith, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. She was born on November 9, 1933 in Sweetwater, TN. She was a faithful member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church. Her family was her world, and she took great pride in being a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl E. Smith, Sr.; parents, George and Myrtle Kidd; daughter, Sondra Sliger; and her 8 siblings. She is survived by her children, Earl, Jr. (Ann), Jeff (Missy), Jerry (Linda), Sherri Bartlett (Michael); son-in-law, Ronnie Sliger; grandchildren, Brian Sliger, Angela Gerou (Duane), Jessica Mead (Tommy), Andrew (Lesley), Matt Smith, Annie, Allena, Joe, Zack, Abbi, Dustin, and Dylan Bartlett; and many special great grandchildren. We want to extend special thanks to Ben Atchley State Veterans Home for her excellent care over the last six months.
