Hughett, Margaret J. “Helton”, age 87, of South Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on November 15, 2011. She was a member of South Knoxville Baptist Church and a retired school teacher from Knox County Schools, having taught at Bonnie Kate and High Bluff. She was a U.T. Alumni and she and her husband, Elmer, were members of the Grand Square. She was preceded by her husband, Elmer Hughett; her son, Donnie Hughett; grandson, Brian Rouse; her sisters, Mildred and husband, Floyd Logan; Mae Hayes, Mattie Lewis and Dorothy Woods. She is survived by her sons, Glen and wife, Helen Hughett; Ronnie Hughett; Steve and wife, Cindy Hughett; Jack Hughett; daughter, Helen and husband, R.E. Rouse; grandchildren, Scott and wife, Patty Rouse, Chris Rouse, Michael Hughett, Juanita Hughett, Alicia and husband, Chad Davis, Leslie Jordan, Mandy Hughett, Ben Hughett, Grant Hughett, Natacia Partida, Josh Hughett, Jayna and husband, David Scott, and Joel Hughett; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; sister, Rowena and husband, Charles Tuck; brothers, Robert and wife, Gail Helton, Jim and wife, Glenneth Helton; sister-in-laws, Marie Lyons, Mae Summers and Dot Hughett; and many other nieces, nephew, family and friends. Family will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2011 with the service to follow at 8:00 p.m. The family will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 10:45 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service.
