Margaret Grace “Gay” Verboom Burgess, peacefully passed away June 12, 2023 at her home. Gay was a retired, Interior Designer, believer in Jesus Christ and prayer warrior. Gay is preceded in death by her parents, Grace and Charles Verboom; in-laws, Johnny and Louise Burgess; son William Burgess. Gay is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, John Burgess; son, Vaughn and Nancy Burgess; daughter, Revonna and Rich Bean; daughter-in-law, Tammy Burgess; son Robert and Joy Burgess. She was blessed with ten grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. Family and many friends will miss her. Family will receive friends at Weaver’s Chapel, Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 5-7 pm with the service to follow at 7pm. Pastor Omar Exume will officiate.
