Lucy Ella Ogle Thompson

Thompson, Lucy Ogle –age 98, of Knoxville passed away July 4, 2010 at UT Hospital. Lucy and her husband, Lamar, were employed by Cas Walker Supermarkets and worked side by side for many years. Lucy was one of ten children born to Walter Paul Ogle and Jenny Burnett Ogle. Preceded in death by husband, Lamar Thompson, parents, and several brothers, sisters, son, John Thompson and daughter –in-law Judy Cowden Thompson. Survivors: sons, William “Bill” Thompson, Danny Thompson and wife Sheila; sisters, Tereca Ogle Holt and Dorothy Ogle Cody; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Noreen Ogle; several nieces and nephews, to whom she was very close to. A special thanks to 7 East at UT Hospital for their special care and support. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 7:30 pm, July 6, 2010 in the chapel at Berry Funeral Home with Dr. Doug White officiating. Family and friends will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery at 11:00 am Wednesday, July 7, 2010 for graveside services.
