Louise Lewis Blackburn, of Knoxville, peacefully passed away on October 2, 2018 at the age of 90. Louise was born on February 14, 1928 in Greenville, KY to the late Roy Shelton and Maude Vincent Shelton. Louise was a resident of Trinity Hills Senior Living, Knoxville, TN for the past 8 years, but lived most of her adult life in Evansville, IN. She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church, Evansville, IN and attended Sevier Heights Baptist Church, Knoxville, TN. Louise was a faithful pastor's wife, Sunday School teacher, and served in numerous other capacities at churches in Kentucky and Indiana. Preceded in death by husbands, Rev. Dencle L. Lewis, former pastor of First Southern Baptist Church, and Charles E. Blackburn; daughter, Patricia L. Sanders; grandson, Richard L. Sanders; great-grandson, Christopher Sanders; sisters and brother, Lucille Vincent, Roy Shelton, Jr., Lenore Noffsinger, and Lois Wells; and step-son, John Blackburn. Louise is survived by daughter, Junie (Ron) French; step-daughter, Becky (Larry) Parrott; granddaughter, Denise (Todd) Davis; grandson, Greg French; great-grandchildren, Crystal Sanders Gonterman, Gina and Garret Davis, Abby, Alex, and Anna French; great-great grandchildren, Alexis Brand and Kristliee Gonterman; sisters, Martha (Coleman) Mason, Betty Mayhugh; and many nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends in Knoxville at Trinity Hills Senior Living 4611 Asheville Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37914 from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm on Thursday, October 4, 2018. Funeral services in Indiana will be at 12:00 pm on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at First Southern Baptist Church 25 S. Cullen Avenue, Evansville, IN 47715, with Rev. Don Moore officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm prior to the service. Interment services will be private.
