A devoted registered nurse, sister, caregiver, and friend, Diane was known for her kindness and the way she brought joy to those around her. She had a gift for making connections—she never met a stranger and left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Diane displayed compassion for her patients and their families, offering care and support.
Her nursing career spanned from Fort Sanders Operating Room, UT Medical Center Labor & Delivery, Oakwood Senior Living, Life Care Center Blount County, Smoky Mountain Home Health & Hospice and Ben Atchley VA Nursing Home.
Diane also worked at JC Penney’s where she established many lasting friendships.
She was a member of Central United Methodist Church where she was loved by many.
Preceded in death by her parents, Sherlie and Trula Overbey, as well as her brothers, Gordon Blankenship, Don Blankenship, and Jack Harmon.
Diane is survived by many close friends, nephews, and her beloved puppy, Bella, who brought her much happiness.
She will be remembered for her sweet and loving spirit, her dedication to helping others, and the countless lives she touched with warmth and generosity.
Rest easy, friend - you will be cherished by all whose lives you touched.

Graveside service will be held at Lynnhurst Cemetery, 2300 Adair Dr, Knoxville, TN 37918 on Thursday April 17, 2025 at 11:00am.
