Lee Schubert, age 89, of Knoxville, TN passed away at home on January 28, 2022. He was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church. His greatest joy was serving his Lord and Savior. He taught Sunday school, was a Deacon, Trustee, Bus Driver, whatever was needed. He worked for Unistrut Corporation (and was known as Mr. Strut) for 44 years. Preceded in death by parents, Paul and Edith Schubert; daughter, Connie, and brother, Randy. Survived by wife of 71 years, Ruth Schubert; children, Dale (Patti), Ron (Beverly), Rene Foran (Graham); known as G’PA to 10 grandchildren, Justin, Lorin, Alexis, Matthew, Lisa, Andrew, Nathan, Ryan, Ginny, and Katie; 19 great-grandchildren; siblings and spouses, Jerry (Charlean), Jacqueline Wilhelm (Dick), Randy deceased, and Jackie. Lee had suffered with a progressive auto-immune disease for 25 years and the family would like to thank those who cared. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 5 from 12-1 pm at Oak Ridge Baptist Church, 1451 Bethel Valley Rd. The funeral will follow with Rev. Graham Foran and Rev. Bobby McCoy.
