Lawrence E. "Gene" Riffey

RIFFEY, LAWRENCE E. "GENE", SR. - age 65, of Powell passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2011. He was retired from National Gas Distributors and a member of Halls Christian Church. Preceded in death by daughter, Kasha N. Riffey and son, Lawrence E. Riffey, Jr.; mother, Lillian and father, John; brothers and sisters, Richard, Joe, Charles, Ella Mae, Hilda Pauline (Becky), Mildred and Allen. Survivors include wife, Linda; children, Jeff, Amanda, Jessica, Jackie, Lizzie, Savannah, Zachary, Kallie, Steven, Ronnie and 3 wonderful grandchildren, Caden, Cassedi, and David; brother, Gary; daughter by a previous marriage Stacey; 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; several special nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:30 p.m. Thursday with the funeral service at 7:30 p.m. in the Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with Rev. Larry Woods officiating. Family and friends will meet at Greenwood Cemetery for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service on Friday. Pallbearers, Richard, Bill, Danny, Jody, Rusty, and Kevin Riffey, and Jody Burns.
