Larry E Herron

Larry E. Herron, 72, of Knoxville went to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 26, 2016 after a short illness. He served in Guam during the Viet Nam era in the United States Air Force. Larry taught handgun carry permit classes with his business partner Lt. Mike Lett. Larry was self-employed in siding and home improvement. He was a loving husband and father and enjoyed his constant companion Schatten. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Willa Mae and Howard E. Herron; Aunt and Uncle Clyde L. and Alca Byrd; his brother, C. Lowell Byrd; and his beloved Shiloh. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Pat Johnson Herron; daughter, Laura Herron; sister and brother in-law, Marian (Carroll) Reagan; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Jon and Doug Scott, James E. Wright. His patriotic and generous spirit will be missed by all. Family will receive friends Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm with a Celebration of Life to follow at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920. The family will meet at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery 2200 East Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920 on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 11:30am for graveside service.
