Lieutenant Kenneth Clark Milligan, age 90, of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017. He was a member of Dante Church of God. He was retired from Knoxville Police Department and formerly employed with Knox County Sheriff Department. He was a veteran of U.S. Army and served as an MP at Y-12 during WWII. Kenneth held racing championships in both Tennessee and Kentucky and was on the NASCAR circuit in the 1950’s. Survivors include wife, Rose Compton Milligan; children, Brenda Battershell and husband, Michael, Kenneth F. Milligan and wife, Patricia, Rebecca Davis, Lisa Long and husband, Larry; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, sisters; Frances Fritts, Mary Lynn Oxendine, brother; Johnny R. Milligan and wife, Carolyn. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Saturday with the funeral service to follow at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Dr. Family and friends will meet for the 11:00 a.m. interment Sunday at Lynnhurst Cemetery.
