Katie Sexton Savage

Savage, Katie Sexton, age 96 of South Knoxville, passed away Friday, July 5 of 2013. She was a long time member of Mount Olive Baptist Church. A devoted mother and grandmother, she was preceded in death by her parents, Asa and Martha Sexton; brothers, Mack, Claude, and Walter Sexton; sisters Mayme Johnson, Amie Muncey, and Grace Muncey; husbands, Alton B. Willard, and Levi. N. Savage. She leaves to cherish her memory and spirit, a daughter, Martha Monday and husband, Jeffery of Knoxville, TN; grandsons, Zachary and Joshua Monday of Knoxville; son, John M. Savage and wife, Josephine of West Springfield, Massachusetts; sister, Callie Irick of Halls, TN; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Family will receive friends 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM Tuesday, July 9, 2013 in the Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Hwy., with the funeral service to follow at 8:00 PM. Dr. Deron Cobb will be officiating. Family and friends will meet Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Mt. Olive Cemetery for an 11:00 AM interment service.
