Katheryn Bruce, age 88, went home to be with the Lord on December 19, 2018. Katheryn retired from St. Mary's Medical Center. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Katheryn is preceded in death by her husband, John Bruce Sr. Survived by sister Kaye (Jim) Sherrod; daughters, Debra (Skip) Cecil, Heather (John) Hughes; sons, John Bruce Jr. (Karen), Lenny (Kathy) Bruce; grandchildren, Simon (Ali) Cecil, Noah Cecil, Wilson (TaReva) Cecil, Jessica (Michael) Jubin, Steve (Sara) Brooks; great-grandchildren, Ella Katheryn and Hailey Brooks, many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Berry Funeral Home 3704 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville. Graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Trentville Cemetery with Pastor Kirby Ownby officiating. In lieu of flowers Katheryn requested donations be made to Mt.
