Katherine M. Caylor Brown

Brown, Katherine, age 86, of South Knoxville, passed away early Saturday morning, May 29, 2010. Katherine was a member of Hillcrest United Methodist Church for over 40 years and was active in the church choir. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Thomas Andrew Brown, husband Rufus Brown, Sr., and parents Thomas and Pearlie Caylor. Katherine is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rufus “Sonny” and Marie Brown; grandsons, Kevin and wife Missy Brown, Michael and wife Lori Brown; great-grandsons, Will and Aaron Brown; step-great-grandchildren: Chase and wife Emily Doane, Ryan and Chassidy Doane; step-great-great granddaughter, Baya Doane; brothers: Rev. Tommy Caylor, Howard Caylor and wife Dora, Carl Caylor and wife Linda; sisters: Betty Ray, Shirley Johnson, Patsy Horne, Carol Walker, Linda and husband Ken Rose; numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 8:00 PM, Dr. Pat Polis and Rev. Tommy Caylor officiating.
