Raines, Julia Bess Webber, age 79, of Knoxville, went home to be with her Heavenly Father at 9:25 pm on Sunday, January 25, 2015 after a courageous battle. She was a member of Carter Road Missionary Baptist Church. She worked at Super Kids Learning Center as the cook for many years and touched the lives of many children and families who grew to love her. She was preceded in death by her parents the late Rev. Beryl and Bertha Webber; brother, Alvin Webber; sister, Annabelle Webber; two daughters, Kimberly D. Sharp, and Carol D. Cox. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, James D. Raines; daughter and son in law, Deborah Jones and husband Harold; son in laws, Sammie Cox and Mike Sharp; sisters, Helen Lunsford, Libby Bowman, and Faye Cooper. She had four grandchildren, Tony Cox, Michelle Butcher, Tommy Jones, and Jennifer Acuff. She had four great-grandchildren, Drinnon and DeeAnna Womble, Corbin and Carley Acuff; a host of nephews, nieces, and other family members. The family wishes to express their thanks to all who came to visit, called, and continued to pray for her. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm Tuesday with the funeral service at 8 pm with Rev. David Walker and Rev. Johnny Owens officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2 pm Wednesday at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home to go in procession to Lynnhurst Cemetery for the 2:30 pm interment.
