Judith Hope Conley Sherrod, 77, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on November 10, 2023. Born on October 7, 1946 to Billy and Evelyn Conley, Judy was a loving mother, adoring grandmother, caring daughter, sister, and friend to many.
After graduating from Halls High School, Judy began a career in real estate where she worked until she married and had a family. Family was of the utmost importance to Judy and she poured her heart and soul into raising her two children, Alex and Jeanette. Judy’s heart overflowed with love not only for her children, but for her grandchildren, parents, and brother. She would often share stories and pictures of her family, and pets, so all could see how proud she truly was. As she spoke, her beautiful smile would warm the hearts of those around her and as you looked in her eyes, you could see the kindness and compassion that abound within.
Judy was also a true woman of God and her middle name, Hope, was the best representation of her love and faith in Our Lord, Jesus Christ. She found strength in His Word and often recited her favorite verse, Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” Her faith will be a lasting legacy to all that knew her.
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Conley. She is survived by her son Alex Sherrod (Ashley), daughter Jeanette Lounds (Jeremiah); four grandchildren, Turner Sherrod, Elle Sherrod, Morgan Lounds, and Amelia Lounds; and a loving extended family.
Family and friends will gather at 2:45 pm for a 3:00 pm graveside service, Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919. Please have floral arrangements delivered to Berry Highland Memorial.
