Josephine O. Sharp

Josephine “Jo” Sharp, age 90, passed away on February 19, 2018. Jo was the loving mother of 3 sons, who were her proudest accomplishments. Jo was a member of Black Oak Heights Baptist Church and loved her Sunday School Class. She loved beach trips with her family and made everyone happy with her great cooking. She was retired from Standard Knitting Mills, where she met the love of her life, Fred Sharp, who passed away in 1976. She is also preceded in death by her son, Larry Sharp; mother, Ruby Ellis; sister, Faye Lawrence and great granddaughter, Toby. She is survived by twin sons, Ron Sharp and wife Susan, and Don Sharp and wife Betty Lue; sister, Helen Daughtery; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Comfort Care Team members at UT Hospital, who were so kind and loving with Jo and to all the family members. The family will receive friends at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Drive from 6 - 8 pm Friday. The funeral service will follow with Pastor Todd Stinnett officiating. Interment will be 1 pm Saturday at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Black Oak Heights Baptist Church, 405 Black Oak Dr., Knoxville, TN 37912.
