Jorge was born in Lima, Peru, January 14, 1957, where he would spend 17 years before moving to the United States. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with a major in chemical engineering and subsequently received his MBA from U.T., as well. Shortly after, he married the love of his life, Michele Marie Cox. They built a beautiful life and enjoyed 38 wonderful years together before his passing.
Jorge is preceded in death by his parents Anita and Fernando Nieri and his brother Julio Nieri. He is survived by his loving wife, Michele Nieri; his children and their spouses: Chelse Stevens, CFP (Scott); Chase Nieri, D.D.S. (Anna); and Chad Nieri, M.D. (Katelyn); his four beautiful grandchildren: Theo, Bennett, Archer, and Camille; his siblings and their spouses: Anita Wilson (Jimmy) and Fernando Nieri (María Rosario); and many more cherished family members.
Jorge gained much experience in sales and marketing through his work at various positions in the U.S. and Asia with Procter & Gamble, Midlab, and Mativ. He had an avid interest in plants and gardening and loved the outdoors. He stayed active through exercise, tennis and swimming. He was a man full of zest and energy with a great sense of humor, and he delighted in spending the last several years as a proud “Papi”, enjoying time with his four grandchildren, children, and wife. He was so loved and will be missed by many.
