John Henry Varner, age 72, of Knoxville, went home to meet Jesus on February 21, 2018. He enjoyed fishing and turkey shooting. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a dedicated friend. Preceded in death by his parents, Avie Jackson and Freda Mae Varner; 3 brothers; 1 sister. Survivors include his loving wife of 28 years, Linda Varner; daughters, Pamela Henderson, Kimberly Jett, and Joy Holtrop; sons, Tracy and Robert Jett; sister, BJ Paul; many loved grandkids, great grandkids, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 27th from 10-12PM at Berry Highland South, 9010 E. Simpson Road, Knoxville, TN 37920. Funeral service will begin at 12 o’clock in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bill Small officiating. Interment will follow.
