John Maxwell Parker

John Maxwell Parker, age 85, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024. John attended Colonial Heights United Methodist Church. He was a member of South Knox Sertoma Club, and was a docent at Blount Mansion. John was a proud US Army Veteran, a member of the Army Signal Corps, and the Florida National Guard.

He is preceded in death by his parents, A.B. and Anna Parker; and brother, Charles Parker.

John leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years, Ann Parker; brother, Robert Joe Parker; sister, Elsie Parker; nephew, Robert A. Parker; and longtime friend, Dr. Robert Black.

The family would like to give a special thank you to UT Medical Center team for their love and care.

Family will receive friends from 4:00 - 5:00 PM Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, with a funeral service to follow at 5:00 PM, Rev. Rhonda Hobbs officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 AM Thursday, May 2, 2024 at East TN State Veterans Cemetery for a 10:00 AM committal service.
