JOHN T. “TOMMY” HEARD, SR. – age 93 of Knoxville passed away, October 16, 2015 at U.T. Medical Center. He retired from Robertshaw Controls Engineering Department. John was a veteran of WWII and served in Europe. Preceded in death by his wife, Jean A. Heard of Knoxville; brother, Jack F. Heard of Huntsville, AL. Survived by son, John “Chip” Heard, Jr. and fiancé Rhonda H. Green of Knoxville; granddaughter, Crystal Johnson; great-granddaughters, Brittany Johnson and Hailey Johnson of Louisville, TN; Jessica and Matt Bramlett of Ringgold, GA; sister-in-law, Maxine Heard; several special nieces, nephews and extended family members. Visitation will be at Weaver Funeral Home, Sunday from 11:00am-12:30pm with service to follow. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens at 2:00 pm.
