Joan B. Knight, age 98, was born and raised in Dorking, UK. She was a member of Crossroads Presbyterian Church, where she was named “Mother of the Year” in 2017. Joan was a veteran of the British Army during WWII. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother, and was fondly known to all as “Old Nanny”. Preceded in death by husband, Donald Knight; parents, Bill and Bessie Cooper; brother, George Cooper. Survived by daughters, Lesley Maxey; grand-daughter, Amanda Pettit (Rick), Philis Christensen (Chris); great grandchildren, Kimberly Weidmann (Jamie), Ricky Pettit (Stephanie), Jonathan Pettit, Samuel Pettit (Jenna), Philip Pettit, Jeremiah Pettit (Lauren), Anna Pettit, Susanna Pettit, Nehemiah Pettit, Mike Ragsdale, Adam Keidl; several great great grandchildren. A memorial service will be Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 5 pm at Crossroads Presbyterian Church, 4329 E. Emory Rd, Knoxville, TN 37938. Rev. Robert Cook will officiate.
