Jimmy Ray Ramsey Sr.

Jimmy Ray Ramsey Sr., age 69, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023. Jimmy was a service technician at Clayton Homes, a carpenter, and an all around handyman. He loved playing guitar, writing songs, fishing, cooking, and working on his beloved '64 Ford truck. Jimmy will be remembered for his humor and will be missed by all who knew him.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Ed and Pearl Wolfenbarger; parents, Jay Berry Ramsey and Bobbie Jo Sheets; and brother, Jay Mitchell Ramsey.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 34 years, Angela Campbell Ramsey; son, Michael Ernest Ramsey (Alex); daughter, Jessica Darlene Ramsey (David); son, Tom Wilson (Kathy); daughters, Jamie Ramsey, Jenny Reagan; son, Jimmy "Bo" Ray Ramsey, Jr. (Kalia); several grandchildren; sisters, Connie Toliver (Danny), Yvonne Maples (Tom), Kathy Ingold (Steve); and brothers, Eddie Ramsey; Wayne Rhines (Cherry).

Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Thursday, February 23, 2023 at McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home, 7426 Asheville Highway, with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM. Family and friends will meet at 12:45 PM for a 1:00 PM interment at Berry Lynnhurst Cemetery Friday, February 24, 2023.
