Jimmy A. Carnes

Jimmy A. Carnes age 59 of Knoxville, passed away April 5, 2025, at Tennova North Medical Center. Member of Moose Lodge # 1560. Jimmy worked for Cherokee Distribution for 30 plus years. He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman, and a big Florida Gator fan. Preceded in death by daughter, Venessa Carnes and brother, Carl W. Turner, Jr and other family members. Survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Leisa Carnes; he loved his 5 yorkies, Nikki, Gator, Tinker Bell, Dixie and Angel; sister, Sheila (Michael) Berrigan; sister-in-law, Laura Turner; nieces and nephews, James Berrigan, Elizabeth Berrigan, Ethan Berrigan, all of Twin Cities; Ronnie Turner, Jennifer Turner; Donna Turner Payne of Knoxville; great-niece, Jessica Turner Hinsley; 2 great nephews and more friends and family. The family will receive friends 11am-1pm Saturday, April12th with the service to follow at 1 pm. Family and friends will meet at Clarks Grove Cemetery in Maryville for a 3 pm graveside service.
