Jeffrey (Jeff) Keith Hensley passed away Tuesday afternoon at home in Knoxville July 4, 2023. He was born in South Charleston, WV. He called East Tennessee Home since 1993, and lived here longer than any place he had ever lived. He was preceded in death by his parents Vernon Keith Hensley and Theodora (Teddy) Lynn Ellison, and Father in law Rayburn Leon Qualls Jeff loved to travel and was constantly thinking of his next trip with his beloved husband. Before his illness progressed too far they visited several of his bucket list places. Jeff was a loyal Miami Dolphins fan, and a NFL football fan. Jeff graduated from Barboursville High School (WV) class of 1980. Jeff was an honorable veteran of the United States Army serving at Fort Bragg NC. After the Army Jeff obtained an Associate Degree from Tampa Technical Institute, Applied Science in Computer Engineering Technology. He had been employed for Denso North America for the past 23 years. Jeff professed his belief in Christ and was baptized by his childhood friend Rick Lucas.
He is survived by his loving husband and best friend Martin Leon (Mickey) Qualls, Stepmother Sandie Means and husband Gene, Sister Kim Cook and brother-in law Bruce Cook of Live Oak, FL, brother Jerry Edwards of Jacksonville, FL, Mother in Law Sharon Qualls of Chatsworth, Sister in laws Freida Smith of Resaca, Ga, Rhonda Crumbley (Shaun) of Dalton, Ga, and Brother in law Jonathan Qualls( Deyonna) of Chatsworth, GA, Daughter Karena Hensley, Grandson Matthew Hensley, granddaughters Emma Grace Jones (Alex) and Katie Sumner. Special Cousin Vickie Hensley, and host of friends and family.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation who is searching for a cure for this horrible disease.
