Jeannette Irene Duncan, age 83, of Chamblee, GA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. Jeannette was born in Knoxville, TN on February 11, 1940 and graduated from West High in 1958. She retired from the US Treasury Department after 30+ years working as a manager in the tax audit division. She received multiple awards including Federal Employee of the Year (1996).
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter Hugh Duncan, daughter Gwendolyn, brother Bill Mynatt Jr, and her parents Bill and Irene Mynatt.
She is survived by daughter Kimberly Burts [Ranny] of Lilburn, GA and son Hugh [Donna] of Cumming, GA. She is also survived by grandchildren Randy Burts (Meggin), Jessica Burts, Cortney Duncan, Peyton Duncan and Jack Duncan. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
Family and friends will meet Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Berry Highland South Cemetery for a 11:00 a.m. graveside service. Hugh Duncan will officiate. Condolences may be offered at www.berryfuneralhome.com
