Jasper Thomas Rippy

Jasper Thomas (Jack) Rippy, age 87, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on December 31, 2017 after a lengthy illness. Jack was a member of North Knoxville Baptist Church. Before retirement, Jack worked many years in remodeling and construction in Knoxville and surrounding area. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Dee W. and Martha Alice Rippy; brothers, Gurthrie and Doug Rippy; sister, Christine Proffitt. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Geneva Rippy; children, Wayne Rippy, Thomas (Diane) Rippy and Donna (Pete) Stout; 3 grandchildren, Thomas, Jr. (Amy) Rippy, Brian (Jennifer) Rippy and Emily Stout; 6 great grandchildren, Brian, Jr., Ona, Logan, Condry, Paxton, and Ava; sister, Barbara Rippy; several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the Home Health nurses, Jillian and Jennifer for the care they provided. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Dr. Family and friends will meet at Lynnhurst Cemetery on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 12:45 pm for a graveside service at 1 pm with Rev.
