James was always glad to see everyone.  Any time I saw him he had a smile and a kind word.  He never seemed to not have a good word or a kind deed -- for all people that he encountered.  He made time to show his concern for all.

James was so happy and funny, when he came to my store! All the employees loved him and enjoyed his jokes or funny stories!  I've known James for over 5 years and can say that he had personality and character!  He will be missed by so many friends and co-workers, and he can never be replaced! James was a ray of sunshine I met him through work when he visited our store on a maintenance call in Bryson City, NC. He came in smiling every time I saw him and would joke and laugh with everyone. I was especially fond of him because he was such a goofy lovable person. The world needs more decent human beings like James to make it brighter! I will always remember him fondly and I will keeps his loved ones in my prayers. My deepest condolences for all who loved and cared for him. 

Thoughts and prayers are with the family. He will be missed by many at  the VolMarket 3, .Very nice man!. Charlotte 

James was a pleasure to work with for several years at H. T. Hackney, from his quick smile to his great sense of humor we shared many laughs together.  My sincerest condolences to the family.

I only knew James for a short time while I worked at the store but in that short time he made my life and everybody's life around him so much happier every time I see him the biggest smile you could ever imagine he was always so happy to see you and I don't think he ever met someone who wasn't instantly a friend I know that although I only known him for a little over a year and a half the impact he made on my life will be a lasting memory forever so sad right now

Prayers for his daughter and all the family 🙏 James was a good man.  He had such a beautiful smile and was so friendly and good to everyone. He will be missed by many people who knew him . I worked around him for years and loved his personality..He always had a shoulder to lean on and a way to make you feel better..🙏❤
