James Harrison Key, age 90, of Knoxville, passed away Friday, September 16, 2016 at home surrounded by his family. Jim was a member of IBEW Local 760 and a veteran of World War II. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Ann and Dave Key; son, James Harrison Key, Jr. (Bobo); brother Calvin Key; and sister-in-law, Margaret Key; sisters, Phyllis Redmon, Barbara Redmon, Mary Reid, and Hazel McNeil. Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Peggy Key; children: Larry Key and wife Sherrie; daughter, Brenda Whitson and husband LeRoy; Wayne Key and wife, Viki; and son, Glen Key; also 12 grandchildren as well as 12 great-grandchildren. Jim touched the lives of so many and was loved by all who knew him. Family will receive friends on Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Berry Funeral Home 3704 Chapman Highway. Family and friends will meet at Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery on Monday, September 19, 2016 at 11:00 AM for graveside services, Rev. Rusty Dozier officiating.
