James "Jim" E. Jones

James "Jim" E. Jones, age 87, of Knoxville, TN, went to be with the Lord on, October 2, 2021. Jim was a Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army. Jim retired as a Meat Inspector with the USDA. He was member of North Knoxville Baptist Church for 35 years. Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, and brother. Jim is preceded in death by his wife Wilma J. Jones; parents Wayland and Louise Jones and brother Bill Jones. He is survived by children Karen (J. Gordon) Dalton, Teresa (Fred) Wade, Rickey (Sonja) Jones; grandchildren, Aaron Wade, Stacey Wade, Kevin (Lauren) Wade, Bradley (Megan) Jones, Brett Michael Jones, Joseph Dalton, Katianne Dalton; great-grandchildren, Lezlie Wade, Lillian Wade, Raleigh Jones; brothers, Dennis (Rella) Jones and David (Nikki) Long; sister-in-laws Catherine Norton and Ann Jones; brother-in-law Darrell (Wanda) Valentine and several nieces and nephews. Family will welcome friends for a visitation on Sunday at Berry Highland South from 12pm-2pm with a Funeral Service to follow, officiated by Fred and Kevin Wade. Friends and family will gather at 3pm on Sunday at Berry Highland South for an interment service. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to Alzheimer's Tennessee in Jim's name.
