She owned a successful retail business in downtown Knoxville for many years prior to her retirement. After retirement she enjoyed traveling with her husband, Vic Weals, Sr., an author of Tennessee history.
Helen was loved by friends and neighbors for her sweet caring nature and sharp wit. She was a longtime member of Graystone Presbyterian Church. She will always be remembered for having a cake on hand for visitors, and above all, cherishing the beach trips and the many good times with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Williams and husband, Victor R. Weals, Sr.; parents: Harris and Maude White (a First Family of Tennessee). Brothers: Roy, Ray, Howard, Ralph, Earl, and Willard White.
Helen is survived by her daughter: Karen Brown; step daughters: Sylvia Borja and Paula Seaman, and step son: Vic Weals, Jr. Grandson: Nathan McCawley (Elizabeth Goodson) and granddaughter: Miranda Fritts (Wes Dockins). Great grandchildren: Taylor, Henley, and Camden. Many nieces and nephews, and her beloved pet, Molly.
Graveside services will be held Monday, April 18, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery-Lyons View, with Rev. Dr. Les Rust officiating.
