Harold Dwight Newton, age 82 of Knoxville, passed away May 3, 2017 at Turkey Creek Medical Center. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy from U.T. Memphis and was a pharmacist and former owner of Woodland Drug Store. Harold was an avid woodworker. Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lois “Loki”; step son, Danny Stevens; parents, Samuel and Velma Newton. Survived by son, Sam (Dee) Newton; step-daughter, Gail (David) Mathes; grandchildren, Ross, Scott, Mindy and Duane; several great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth (Brenda) Newton of Clinton. Special thanks to Mindy for her loving care. Family will receive friends Friday, May 5th from 5:00-7:00 pm at Weaver Funeral Home.
