Harold Edward Bishop Jr., age 77 of Knoxville, Tennessee, was promoted to Heaven Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Westmoreland Health and Rehab Center. Harold was raised in Powell, Tennessee. A graduate of Powell High School, Harold was retired from Rohm & Haas. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. One of his proudest achievements was building his family's log cabin home in Halls.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Sr. and Edna Sellers Bishop, stepmother Martha Bishop. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Elizabeth, three children, and eight grandchildren. Melissa and Ray Labelle of Norris, Tennessee, Amy Mack and James Ollee of Atlanta, Georgia, Mark and Criston Bishop of Knoxville, Tennessee. He was a proud Poppy to Matthew and his wife Haley Labelle, Morgan Labelle, Bryce, Erin, and Devin Mack, and Kate, Meredith, and Eli Bishop. He was big brother to Bruce and Susie Bishop of Maidsville, West Virginia. The family expresses their love and heartfelt appreciation to the caregivers of Maple Court Senior Living in Powell who are now family and to the kind folks of Westmoreland Health and Rehab Center and Smoky Mountain Hospice. Thank you for caring for Harold so lovingly when our visits were limited.
