Greg D Davis, age 63 of Corryton was born on November 11, 1955. After a faithful battle with Multiple System Atrophy, he received his ultimate healing and was welcomed home by his Lord and Savior, mother, Gerry Davis; father in law, Rev. Charles Harness and seven precious babies. Greg is survived by his devoted wife of 37 years, Teresa Davis, children Joshua Davis and Haylea (Brandon) Bates, his pride and joys Braxton, Bentlee, and Hudson Blue Bates, father George Davis, brother Geff Davis, mother in law Barbara Harness, brother in law Wesley (Ginger) Harness, and several nieces and nephews. Also his much loved church family. Greg held many titles including award winning gospel singer, sunday school teacher, choir director, retired UPS employee, and friend; but most of all a child of God. Greg was a faithful member of First Freedom Baptist Church and sang baritone with Heartfelt, 3 4Thee, Crimson Ridge, and South of Heaven. Special thanks to Nancy and the rest of the Amedisys Hospice family. The family will receive friends from 4 – 6 pm Sunday with the funeral service to follow at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Drive. Rev. Mickey Lusk, Rev. Will Lester, Rev. Michael Townsend, and Kent Shoffner will officiate. Family and friends will meet at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home at 10 am Monday and go in procession to Hillvale Baptist Church Cemetery for the 11 am graveside service.
