Carleen Reed Gerken, age 71, of Knoxville passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at her residence.
She was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church. Carleen graduated from Young High School in 1970 where she was voted The Wittiest. Carleen began her career at Baptist Hospital as a surgical technician and retired from the Physicians Surgery Center after 33 years. She was the eldest of four sisters.
Carleen was preceded in death by parents, Bob and Mary Jo Garner Reed.
She is survived by sons, Matt (Stephanie) Gerken, Aaron (Kerri) Gerken; five grandchildren, Isaac, Ruby, Macon, DJ and Parker; three sisters, Rhonda (Doug) Beaty, Melody (Jeff) Stansberry and Tracy (Hobbs) DeWitt; several nieces, nephews and extended family.
We will have a gathering of friends and family to celebrate Carleen's life on Saturday October 21, 2023 from 11-1 at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy.
