Taylor, Gertrude Elizabeth Lusk, age 91, born November 13, 1921 in Knox County, Tennessee. She crossed over the River Jordan on her way to Heaven April 27, 2013. She was a direct descendent of Fielden and Rebecca Lusk, Absolom and Jemima Lorton Branson, Robert and Judith Joyner Gentry, John and Mary Spears Bunch, Richard and Nancy Harold. Gertrude was a 1942 graduate of Carter High School and a life-long member of Wooddale Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husband, Zack F. Taylor, Sr.; mother, Ruth Ellen Branson Lusk; father and stepmother, Herbert W. and Cecile Bradley Lusk; brothers, Ralph Woods Lusk and Arch Edward Lusk; grandson, Kevin Zackary Taylor and great-grandson, Christopher Jordan Czornohus. She is survived by daughters, Ruth Burchfield of Blount County, Mary Braddy (Bernie) of Knox County and son, Zack F. Taylor, Jr. (Wanda) of Jefferson County; grandchildren: Angela Burchfield Detoro(Steve), Cynthia Burchfield Czornohus (Peter), Rhonda Byrd Shoemaker (David), Stephen Wade Burchfield (Kristi) and Joseph Franklin Burchfield; great-grandchildren: Andrew Curtis Czornohus, Zachary Taylor Czornohus (Jamie), Bryan Andrew Money, Briana Marie Shoemaker, Cooper Lee Burchfield, Gavin Wade Burchfield and Blake Kennedy Burchfield; great-great grandchildren: Atley Emmet Money and Christine Elizabeth Money. Family will receive friends at McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from 5-7 PM with funeral service to follow. Service to be officiated by Rev. Robert Hobbs. Grandsons and great-grandsons to be pallbearers. Family and friends will meet Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Trentville Cemetery for a 11:00 AM graveside service.
