Geraldine (Gerry) Cantley Davis

Geraldine (Gerry) Cantley Davis, age 89, of Corryton, TN, left her temporary earthly home to enter her eternal home in Heaven on January 31, 2018. Preceded in death by parents, Louis and Kate Cantley; sister, Helen (Harry) Warren; brother, Bud (Rowena) Cantley. Leaving behind to cherish her memory and grieve their loss are her loving husband of 68 years, G. D.; sons, Greg (Teresa) Davis and Geff Davis of Corryton; grandsons, Joshua, Cade, and Cooper Davis all of Corryton; granddaughter, Haylea (Brandon) Bates of Knoxville; great grandchildren, Braxton, Bentlee, and Hudson Blue Bates of Knoxville; cousins (like a sister), Norma Hutchinson and Nancy Kalasee; nieces, Pat Beeler and Brenda Blanton; nephew, Gene Cantley; brother-in-law, J. C. Davis and sisters-in-laws, Brenda Kranz and Jean Davis. Gerry was employed by Knoxville Journal, Tennessee Valley Bank, Plastiline, and University of Tennessee for over 40 years. Gerry was saved at a young age at Fairview Baptist Church and later became a member of Graveston Baptist Church of over 25 years. She was also a member of the Corryton Chapter of the Eastern Star. The family wishes to express their gratitude to all the wonderful people of Amedisys Hospice. Special thanks to Monica, Rachel, Frank, James, and Laura. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 pm Saturday with the funeral service to follow at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Drive. Rev.
