Georgia Lee Merritt Davis

DAVIS, GEORGIA LEE MERRITT age 86 of Karns passed away Monday May 24, 2010 at Parkwest Hospital. She was a member of Clear Branch Baptist Church and was Baptized by Rev. James C. Davis. Preceded in death by husband, William S. Davis, Sr. (Bill), and infant son, parents Condie and Gladys Merritt, sister Dollie Corum of Luttrell. Survivors: William (Sam) and Teresa Davis, son and daughter-in-law, Cheryl and Jerry Pack, daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Alan Amburn, daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Fred Weekley, daughter and son-in-law. Grandchildren: Eric and Aron Pack, Brandy, Billy, Ben, and Brian Davis, Conda Amburn Klinect, Ryan and Bryce Weekley, and several great-grandchildren. Judy Stowers, niece of Luttrell. Bill and Georgia operated W.S. Davis Grocery on Emory Road in Karns for several years. Georgia retired from St. Mary’s Hospital as a respiratory therapist and later worked at Sam’s Wholesale Club for several years. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Thursday in Weaver’s Chapel with service to follow at 8 pm. Pastor Ross Williford officiating.
