George Pressley Taylor IV

He had a long and successful career in the insurance industry where he was a partner at Consolidated Insurance Group. He was a Friend of Bill’s for over forty years. George had a strong love of family and was an avid University of Tennessee football fan. George was a faithful member of Grigsby Chapel United Methodist Church.

George is predeceased by his daughter, Laura Antoinette Taylor Weinand; sister Mary Ellen Beebe Taylor; and parents Margaret Kirby Taylor and George Pressley Taylor III.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Boyette Taylor; son, George “Beau” Taylor and wife, Beth; son in law, Dan Weinand; grandchildren, George, Theodore “Teddy”, William “Campbell” and Barbara “Lolly”, Patrick, Christopher; sister Evelyn Mallory Taylor Cudd; and beloved nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed.

Services will be at Berry Highland Memorial Funeral Home, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville TN on Wednesday, July 24. Receiving of friends and family will be at 12 noon and service at 2pm.
