Geneva Jo Hammond

Geneva Jo Hammond passed away on January 23, 2017 at the age of 84. Born on September 2, 1932 in Gate City, Virginia. She was a long term associate of Wal-Mart and retired at the age of 82. She will be dearly missed by all that had the pleasure to know and love her. Preceded in death by the love of her life Don Hammond; son Mike Hammond; granddaughter Christy Sharp and her dog “Annie”. She leaves behind her beloved dog “Chloe” in the care of grandson Cody Heath; daughters and son in laws; Cheryle and Bob Randolph and Renee and Larry Heath. She spent her final days surrounded by loved ones including Janet Sharp; granddaughter Amy Glenn great granddaughters, Natalie Sharp and Madison Burbage; longtime friend Rebbecca Cook. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The graveside service will be Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 3 pm in the Lynnhurst Cemetery. Everyone is asked to meet in the funeral home parking lot by 2:45 pm to go in procession to the cemetery. There will be a receiving of friends following at the funeral home from 3:30 to 5:30 pm.
