Gary Self

Gary Self, age 69, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023. He was honored to have served in the US Marine Corps. Gary loved his family and was a proud husband, father, and Papaw. He traveled many miles throughout his career as a truck driver and made many amazing friends.

Gary was preceded in death by wife, Sharon Self; great granddaughter, Ava Grace Tarver; parents, Robert and Dotsy Self; brother, Franklin Self. He is survived by daughter, Kelly (Justin) Turner; son, Brian (Lynn) Self; grandchildren, Emily (Ryan) Tarver, Allison (Tanner) Huff, Tyler (Cindy) Self, Alex (Tess) Self, Adam, Andrew, Lydia, and Kay Leigh Turner; great grandchildren, Kason, Grayson and Mason; nieces and nephews. Also, the family would like to give a special thanks to his VA caregiver, Justin Turner.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 30th from 5-7pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 7pm. Graveside service will take place Friday, December 1st at 1pm at Lynnhurst Cemetery.
