

Barker, Frances E (Bell) – age 92, of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Tennova Hospice in Halls. Frances was born in Knoxville on February 26, 1922. She attended Brenau College in Gainesville, GA and later the University of Tennessee. She was a member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church and was a licensed architect and was employed by leading architectural firms. She was a very gifted artist and a member of the Fountain City Art Guild, having served as a past president of the Guild. Preceded in death by husband, G. Herbert Barker; parents, Earl F. and Zella A. Mays Bell; stepmother, Lennis French Bell; brothers, Eugene, Earl Jr., Robert, Alvin, and Bill; sister, Mary Ellen Davis. She is survived by brother, Watson (Jeanne) Bell of Chandler, AZ; sister-in-law, Marilyn Bell of Knoxville, TN; nieces, Barbara (Lee Roy) Myers, and Beverly (Don) Kitts of Knoxville, TN; Judy (Richard) Ross of Atlanta, GA; Anna Watchman of Chandler, AZ; Cynthia (Roland) Kueffner of Scottsdale, AZ; Jennifer (James) Capps of Denver, CO; nephews, Darrell (Sharon) Bell of Knoxville, TN; Ed (Kay) Chesnutt of Greensboro, NC; James (Tamara) Bell and Douglas (Elizabeth) Bell of Chandler, AZ. Family and friends will have a call of convenience on Sunday, February 22, 2015 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
