Faye Lanell Wilson

Faye Lanell (Cauthen) Wilson, 81, of Knoxville, TN, died December 4, 2023, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. She was born on October 12, 1942, in Heath Springs, SC, and was married to Jerry Frederick Wilson for just short of 50 years after being wed on December 20, 1973.

After serving 10 years as a nurse in the United States Air Force, Faye and Jerry raised their family in Columbia, SC, where she continued her nursing career.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sons and their families: Bryan and his wife, Kari, and daughters Grace, Rachel, and Nora, of Richmond, KY; and Jeffrey, his wife Heather, and son James, of Holly Springs, NC.

Faye loved to care for her family and go on cruises with her husband around the world, including trips to the Caribbean and Europe.

A graveside service for Faye will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 12:30 PM at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
