Eugene “Gene” F. Roach went to heaven on August 8th, to be with his first wife, Dorothy; his twin children-Son, Ricky, and daughter, Donna; mother, Sally; and brothers, Lewis and Clarence Roach. Left to grieve and miss him: present wife, Etta Nee Ryan Roach; Daughters, Eugenia Greene and Regina (Tommy) Johnson; Step-son, Thomas Schwallie; Grandchildren, Anthony (Bo) Cranford, Shawna Arnwine, Cheyenne (Mike) Henry, Samantha (Dustin) Hoffman, Candice (Shawn) Galford, Brandon (Dana) Johnson, Jeremy (Emily) Roach, and Dallas Roach; Step-grandchild, Rachel Schwallie; 18 Great-Grandchildren; step-great-grandchild, Adrian Blackwell; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. As a boy he was in John Tarleton, as a man he served his country in WWII, and was in the invasion of Normandy on D-Day. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He loved fishing, Atlanta Braves, Pat Summitt, and the Lady Vols. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 11th at 8p.m. in the Lynnhurst-Greenwood Funeral Home Chapel with visitation beginning at 6p.m. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 12th at 11a.m. in the Highland South Memorial Park.
