Elsie Grace Lloyd was a centurian of 101 years. As a result of her faith in Jesus, she met her savior on February, 14, 2018. She was a faithful servant of God and has now claimed his promise of eternal life in Heaven. She loved the Lord and courageously declared her faith and message of God’s saving grace.
She enjoyed 59 years happily married to James A. Lloyd, who died in 1992. This hard working couple produced one girl and three boys who were raised in a loving Christian home.
Elsie retired from U.T. Hospital after 25 years. For the past 15 years, she has been a resident of Manorhouse Assisted Living, where the staff and residents had become a part of her family. She was active and involved in activities and celebrations. We give thanks to Manorhouse staff for the loving care and kindness shown to both Elsie and her family through the years.
She will be remembered as a loving mother by her sons, Jack (wife Marjorie) Lloyd, Raymond (whose wife, Ruby Jo is deceased) Lloyd, James (Jim) Lloyd (wife Dot); Daughter, Doris (husband Carl Estes) Stooksbury. She was blessed by many grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren.
If you wish to honor Elsie in any way, our family would suggest you take time to make some needy person happy by spreading a little “SON Shine” to make their day bright.
The family will receive friends at Berry Highland Memorial, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919 on Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm with a Funeral Service to follow at 2:00pm. Burial will be at Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery following the service.
