Elnora Elizabeth Bishop "Cricket", age 82, of Strawberry Plains passed away June 19, 2022. She was a lifelong seamstress and worked with several textile companies and retired from Bike Athletic. She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church. Cricket loved working with her hands and could often be found sewing, quilting, cooking and gardening. She was a member of the Riverdale Saddle Club and the International Association of Rebekah Assemblies associated with the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. For many years she was involved with many sports including Bowling and Archery and other activities which gave way to raising her family. Preceded in death by husband, Cecil Johnny Bishop; parents, Sam and Florence Russell; brothers, Glenn Russell, Henry Russell and Junior Russell.
She is survived by children, Angela (Philip) Ford, Alan (Becky) Franklin, Michael (Karen) Franklin, Wanza (Mark) Forgione and Bonnie (Jerry) Westover; grandchildren, Alisha Ford, Jennifer (Timothy) Dalton, Jonathan Franklin, Kristi (Dallas) Miller, Jared (Amy) Franklin, Michael (Sarah) Riddle, Melody (Ray) Raper, Justin (Kayla) Willis; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brothers, John, Jim and Robert Russell; sisters, Ruby Riddle and Bonnie Riddle.

The family will receive friends 5-7pm, Thursday, June 30, 2022 in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service to follow at 7pm. Rev. Sammy Grindstaff officiating. Family and friends will meet at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, John Sevier Hwy at 10 am, Friday, July 1, 2022 for graveside services.
