He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather who faithfully served the Lord. His generosity and willingness to help people was unmatched and a true example of Christian service and love.
Elmer grew up in Sevier County and started a career in the trades as a teen. As a skilled craftsman, Elmer made a lifelong career in the construction industry retiring as a Senior Superintendent for Blaine Construction Company. He loved working with his hands and blessed so many people with his knowledge and skills.
Elmer loved nature and was always eager to go fishing, hunting, work on outdoor projects and drive through the mountains. Cades Cove will forever be remembered as one of his favorite places. Elmer enjoyed spending time with his family and he was a protective grandpa. His love for family ran deep and he will be greatly missed.
