I'm so very saddened by the loss of Liz. I was her colleague at UT, where she worked tirelessly to advance and mentor the students. She truly cared about them and their welfare. Liz was also brilliant: she remembered absolutely every detail about a student's academic needs such as which courses they still needed to graduate. She never had to look anything up; she kept all the details in her head. I will retain a vivid memory always of the proud way Liz cared for students whom she mentored so well. She also had a terrific sense of humor. I send my most sincere condolences to the family who has lost a treasured, wonderful person.

Aunt Liz I'll miss your joy, laughter, and sense of humor.  We had some deep conversations about things that just me and you know about and I truly appreciate your advice . I also will miss your famous spaghetti , you know how much I loved it. I'm just glad that your a peace now. I love and miss you.

I have been walking around in a daze since I heard about Liz Kaye's passing on Oct. 7, 2021 but I woke up two mornings ago with this thought in mind: "Be not overwhelmed by the loss and grief; but be overjoyed by the love and memories. " I will miss my sister Liz and can remember as clearly the day she was born as the day she passed.  We awakened on April 29, 1953 to find our beautiful sister "Kaye Baby" laying snuggly beside our mother.  We were so excited about having a new baby sister, we told our neighbors about her, running from neighbor to neighbor to spread the great news!!! RIP my beloved sister!!!

I am so sorry to hear about Liz passing. Although, it's been some time since I last saw Liz,  she will be remembered for her kindness, laughter and great sense of humor.  My prayers and condolences are with the family. May God continue to keep his loving arms around each of you during and beyond this difficult time. 


I have lost the Heckle to my Jeckle, my sister and friend! I have many fond memories of our time together especially when we were younger. Many may not know but she was a great basketball player and towered above all she played against. She was a loving sister and mother! God called you home and I'll see you on the flip side! Rest in Heaven! Love you always!

A Mother's love is always with her children. Losing a mother is one of the deepest sorrows a heart can know. But her goodness, her caring, and her wisdom live on-like a legacy of love that will always be with you. May that love surround you now and bring you peace.

Liz was one of the kindest, most special people, who always kept it real, she called a spade a spade, and I loved that about her. You all have great memories of her, keep them close to your heart.

I  remember our time at UT. Always polite and encouraging.  Her presence in the School of Art and Architecture was known by all those connected to it; students, faculty, staff, alumni,  contractors and visitors.  

I am truly saddened to hear of Liz Hill’s passing and wish to extend my condolences to her family and friends. She was a major personality in the operations of the architecture school at U.T. as she played the role of “Mother Superior” to its students for many years. Its alumni have surely benefitted from her contributions to their complete education and she will be fondly remembered by all of those who knew her. She also kept me personally in line during my time as a faculty member and administrator as well as shared considerable advice in the raising of my own children. Her presence will be missed but her influence will not be forgotten.
