Eleanor Jean Hunley

Eleanor Jean Simpson Hunley, age 90, went to be with the Lord, December 11, 2021. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.Jean was a graduate from Rule High School in 1949. She retired from Rohm & Haas Co. after 42 years of service. Jean was a member of New Hopewell Baptist Church for over 50 years. She loved and served her Lord Jesus Christ. She taught Sunday school and had a greeting card ministry for several years. She was a giving and compassionate person who loved her family and friends dearly. Jean is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Jimmie Lloyd Hunley; grandparents Samuel and Birdie Simpson and sister Mildred Boatman. She is survived by daughters Janet (Scott) Lambert and Kristie (Johnny) Hutto; grandchildren Rachel and Mason Lambert; niece Cheryl (Bob) Wardlaw; special friends Ed and Bea Hopson, Bill and Katherine Perryman, Sally Moore and many cousins. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to New Hopewell Baptist Church. The family welcomes friends to a Visitation on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, from 12pm-2pm, at Berry Highland South.
